Homebuyer Tip #26: Bathroom Accessories for New Home Buyers

Posted on April 10, 2023 by Laura Sinclair

Whether you’re planning a bathroom renovation or just want to spruce up your existing space, there are many bathroom accessories that can make the room more functional and stylish. Here are some of the top items to consider:

 Bathroom Lighting Solutions

One of the most important aspects of any bathroom is the lighting. Not only will it illuminate the area, but it can also play a role in how people use the space. Having enough lighting will help you to get dressed and perform other tasks more easily.

If you’re looking to add LED vanity mirror lights, you have lots of options. The bathroom lighting solution above is easy to install and you don’t have to drill holes in the wall. It even gives you the option of using a dimmer switch. Check it out.

 Bathroom Storage

Storage is another important aspect of the bathroom, as it allows you to keep your essentials organized and easy to find. There are many different storage options available, including cabinets and shelves, which can be fitted into the wall. It is important to choose a style that will work best for your needs.

A lot of modern bathrooms are designed with space in mind, and this means that you can fit large cabinets and cupboards that will allow you to store a range of toiletries. These can be positioned on the floor or hung on the wall depending on your requirements.

Over the years, I found three types of products that help me expand the storage space in a bathroom. One is a little unit that goes next to your bathroom cabinet. Another one is an organization storage unit that fits inside the bathroom cabinet. And finally, I sometimes like to put little shelves on the wall to contain some of the items I use on a daily basis. Which ones are your favorites?

 Bathroom Mirrors

Mirrors are another essential accessory in the bathroom. A wide mirror will reflect more light and can make the room feel bigger. Here are several suggestions to enhance your bathroom.

 Shower Mats

Showers and tubs can become slippery if not properly cared for, and it is important to add a non-slip mat in order to reduce the risk of injuries. These can be bought in a variety of colors, designs, and different sizes. The shower mats are often made with suction cup feet, so they don’t move around.

Bath Bombs

Using bath bombs can make a relaxing and luxurious end to a busy day. You have lots of choices when buying these products including a variety of flavors and scents, and they’re super easy to use. Many bath bombs also contain aromatherapy oils that can have a positive effect on your mood and stress levels.

 Towel Rails and Hooks

Having a place to hang your towels can be very useful, especially in smaller bathrooms where it can be difficult to fit them all in one spot. Towel rails come in various styles and can be hung high up on the wall or mounted on a hook. These are great for holding both hand and face towels in one place, which can be beneficial when you have more than one person using the bathroom at once.

Towel Rings

Towel rings are also a handy accessory to have in the bathroom. These can be hung on a wall or positioned next to the basin and can be used to hold small towels.

The right bathroom accessories can be the icing on the cake when it comes to creating an elegant and streamlined look for your home. They can add a touch of sophistication to the room and are often an affordable way to make your bathroom more appealing to potential buyers.

Floating Bathroom Shelves

And I don’t know about you, but I love floating shelves in my bathroom. Here are the ones I like.

 Eco-Friendly Products

With the increasing focus on sustainability, more and more bathroom manufacturers are releasing products that will save you money and the environment. By choosing eco-friendly items you can be sure that you are reducing the amount of water wasted in your home and therefore, helping to lower your bills.
